Yulefest – Christmas in July

The Mini Car Club of NSW is this year holding its annual Christmas in July lunch at Bistro One46,

146 Moss Vale Rd, Kangaroo Valley, NSW 2577.

Main & Dessert $41.50pp

Main: Traditional Christmas fare – baked leg ham and turkey breast with roasted vegetables.

Dessert: Traditional Chrissy Pud with crème anglaise.

Set menu only, Gluten and dairy free requirements can be catered for with advanced notice.

Convoy: Meet at McDonalds Edmondson Park, cnr. Camden Valley Way & Gellibrand Road. 9:00am for 9:30am departure. Travel down Camden Valley way and the Old Hume Highway through Picton, Bargo, Fitzroy Falls and into Kangaroo Valley.

Or meet at the Bistro at 12:00pm.

Sydney Classic Day

Held at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek Presented by the Council of Motor Clubs. Over 1900 Veteran & Classic vehicles from 150 clubs will be on display so support your club and see a static display.

7th Annual Rylstone Classic

Taking in some of New South Wales most breathtaking scenery, the 7th annual Rylstone Classic will be held from August 19 to 20, 2017. This FREE 2 day event is for Mini owners and enthusiasts with other classic vehicles accepted upon application.

The Rylstone Classic will encompass a range of novelty activities and will be conducted at a leisurely pace, befitting the vintage of our vehicles.

Please note that all planned competition events are designed purely for the enjoyment of competitors and the focus is entirely on enjoying a relaxed weekend of classic Mini focused events.

All British Day – MCC Annual Show n Shine

On Sunday 27th August 2017, the annual All British Day, in conjunction with The Kings School Art Show, will be held at The Kings School, Pennant Hills Rd, North Parramatta.

Once again this event will be the main Show and Shine for the Mini Car club of NSW so clean and polish up your mini and come along for a great day with prizes and trophies awarded for various categories.

  • Morris 850, Mini Deluxe, Mini K
  • Cooper, Cooper S Mk1 & Mk2
  • Clubman, Clubman GT
  • Commercials, Vans, Pick-ups  & Variants
  • Mokes,
  • Modified, Competition
  • Imports Post 1980 – (Includes 2000 Minis, including Rover and JDM)
  • Most Original and Unrestored
  • BMW Minis

 

Show and Shine Entry Fee – MCC Members free, Non-members $10 for all classes  

Cars will be judged for the workmanship, detailed tidiness and cleanliness. For example, a Cooper S or Mini K that is driven every day or built to the owners requirements and is presented well, will have the same chance as a Cooper S or Mini K that has been fully restored to original specifications.

Please don’t leave unnecessary items in your Car or in your boot, Presentation is a must.

Displaying your car with merchandise, pictures etc. is encouraged to make it a whole presentation of the vehicle on the day.

Trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd Place in each class.

Car of the Show for MCCNSW members only.

Display only cars are very welcome.

For entry to Kings School prepaid tickets costing $10 each are required, and the numbers are limited, so get in early.

The Mini Car Club has again purchased a block of entry tickets which for members are free and non-members $10. Trailer tickets are also required if you are towing your car into the site so please advise if this is required.

Please Note: The Association of British Car Clubs has requested for all non-car club members to contact one of the associated clubs for the pre purchase of tickets.

Gates open at 6.30am with the aim to have all cars in place by 9.00am

To aid the free flow of traffic into the site all tickets must be firmly fixed to the inside of your windscreen. If you lose your ticket or don’t have a ticket then you will be directed to a separate parking area until traffic marshals can attend and provide a ticket at a cost of $15.

All members and friends are invited to come along to Club General Meetings which are now held at the Arena Sports Club, 140 Rookwood Road, YAGOONA. (The Old Greyhound & Social Club).

Arrive 7:30pm for an 8:00pm start.

The Club has a Bistro if you want to arrive early for dinner or a light snack, full Bar Facilities and Coffee making open from 6:00pm-8:30pm.

Plenty of off street parking.

Superkhana – Riverstone

To be held at our club grounds, Bandon Road, Riverstone (cross the railway line and follow the road down to the end, (please shut the gate).

Scrutineering starts at 8:00am, drivers briefing at 9:45am, event starts at 10:00am.  Remember to bring your helmets and rally tyres are permitted.

Sydney Minis Monthly Meet Up!

Paddys Brewery

268 Parramatta Road, Flemington

We meet on the Second Wednesday of each Month at 7:30pm for a great pub meal and lots of talk about minis then the people who attend decide on the destination for a short cruise and photo opportunity, normally within the Sydney Olympic Park precinct or Harry’s at Parramatta.

Plenty of parking available within view of the bistro courtyard.

Meet at Key Batteries, Cnr. Mt Keira Road & Abercrombie Steet, West Wollongong at 8:30am for a 9:00am departure.

 

Travel via Mt Kembla/Picton Road/ Macarthur /Douglas Park Drive/Camden Road/Finns Road/Rememberence Drive/ Razorback Drive.                                                                                                                                    (We will regroup at Mt Keira Pub if we get separated early on).

10:30am   Morning Tea at Common Ground Bakery,         Rememberence Drive Picton, drive west out to thru Oakdale to Nattai/ Burragorang Lookout for a short break.                                     Head back towards The Oaks.

12:00pm   Lunch at “The Oaks” (option pub lunch or takeaway Cafes).     Return to Wollongong via Mt Keira.

B Run

Meet at Key Batteries, Cnr. Mt Keira Road & Abercrombie St, West Wollongong at 8:30am for a 9:00am departure.

9:20am   Pickup point near the school on Tongarra Road, Albion Park.

The idea behind this run is we will be driving through Burradoo, Bowral, Burrawang, Bundanoon, Broughton Park and Berrima (although not necessarily in that order), with a stop for lunch.

It’s the B’s run because we travel through many towns and places starting with B.

After a run up Macquarie Pass we will take a break at Robertson Pie Shop at around 10:00am.

Then through Robertson, through Kangaloon towards Bowral to Berrima, South and across to Suttons Forrest Inn for a Pub lunch.

After lunch there is the option to head home along the expressway or continue back toward the “Gong through Mossvale, Fitzroy Falls, Barron Grounds and back towards Albion Park.
