Mini Show 2019
Minishow is back in 2019 in Melbourne.
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Mini, the VMCI will be holding their semi regular Minishow on Sunday 7th July.
With less than 12 months until Minishow 2019, the Minishow organising committee are already hard at work, with a brilliant central venue, and a festival approach to the activities and display setup, striving hard to make this event one that will be remembered.
If you’d like to get involved and help out, now is the time to make your voice heard as some already have, and their fresh ideas are being embraced – we don’t want to simply run the same recycled show when we have a real opportunity to make it something special! Simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know that you want to help or you have some ideas, as we’d love to hear from you.
Likewise, if you’re interested in being put onto our Minishow News mailing list which is due to kick off early in the new year, please send your name and email address to email@example.com and we will make sure that as new news is announced, you’ll get it delivered direct to your inbox.
It doesn’t matter what your Mini is, it matters what your attitude is. Sure, there may be a few show cars which only come out on special occasions, but you can bet your bottom dollar too that there are some cars on show that won’t have seen a car wash in months too! So long as you love your Mini, then your car is good enough to be at Minishow 2019, so don’t hold back – Bring it along.
Keep your eyes here https://www.mini.org.au/minishow for updates, and we will see you at the show!

Old Bar Beach Festival
The Old Bar Beach Festival is an annual community event that has grown to attract more than 30,000 people each year.
The Kombi/Transporter swap meet Australian record attempt is one of the major highlights of the festival. The number of Kombis that arrive at the festival has steadily increased over the last ten years due to the support of many Kombi owners who now have made the festival an annual pilgrimage.
For Kombi owners this festival is a place to meet and share their passion for their beloved buses with like-minded Kombi enthusiasts in a relaxed and festive atmosphere suited for the whole family.
Each year we look at what we can do to make the festival even better.
In 2012 we added a spectacular fireworks display, hosted by Ka-Boom Fireworks and introduced more children’s entertainment. In 2013 we had more professional bands and artists and this year Saltwater Board Riders Club will host the Kev Lee Memorial Single Fin Cup and wrapping up the festival on Sunday afternoon will be Taree Old Bar Surf Life Savings Club’s beer, burger and footy grand final afternoon.
We’ve changed the layout of the festival to make it easier to find all of those great market stalls and displays and to give a better view of the main stage.
The Old Bar Classic is held on the Saturday of the Old Bar Beach Festival. The number of classics is growing each year, as is the number of spectators.
Escape the busy crowds and explore the growing range of classics on display – from veteran to modern street machines and motorcycles. You might just find some inspiration for that project waiting in the back shed.
Own a ‘Classic’?
If you’re the owner of a ‘Classic’ — be it veteran, vintage, modern, muscle, hot rod, street machine or motorcycle — bring it along display your work to our crowd of thousands.
Registration is just $5. You’ll get a sticker to say you were there, and go in the draw to win $1,000 to keep that classic shiny for next year. There will also be some prizes from our sponsors up for grabs over the weekend!
Classics and Beetles are welcome, and encouraged, to tag onto the Kombi Parade at the end of the day on Saturday. See the Kombi page for details.
Please check the registrations page for all terms and conditions. The most important items are that you must still be there to win the $1,000 and that you must not move your vehicle between the hours of 8am and 4pm without an official escort.
