Motorkhana

A motorkhana is the most basic level of motorsport in which members can compete. In a Motorkhana cars are driven on a flat surface (a paddock or a car park) around a designated course marked out with flags. Motorkhanas are a great way to learn car control skills and juniors can compete from 12 years of age. Virtually no special vehicle preparation is required.

Khanacross

A Khanacross is similar to Motorkhana but bigger, often incorporating more obstacles. Although speeds are a little higher than Motorkhanas the emphasis is on car control. Juniors can compete from 14 years of age once they have displayed adequate car control in motorkhanas.

Speed Events

Speed events incorporate lap-dashes, hill climbs, and super-sprints. Each year the club organises or participates in speed events at venues such as Oran Park, Eastern Creek and Wakefield Park.

Rallies

Although the days of the rally mini are all but over, there are still a few members brave enough to try. The club has however, many members with various varieties of rally car, and hence the Mini Car Club has become one of the stronger clubs in this area of motorsport.

Members who wish to do more of a particular type of motorsport can start at an inter-club level by joining Group7 or compete at state championship or even national championship level at various types of events. The club currently has members competing successfully in Formula V's, Sports Sedans, State Rallies, Motorkhanas, and Speed Championships as well as a team in the annual six hour relay race at Eastern Creek.
